Dr. Dennis Noda was born in Denver, Colorado, and moved to the Los Angeles area at an early age. He attended Gardena High School and after graduating attended Long Beach State College. He was accepted to Los Angeles College of Optometry and graduated with his Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Optometry Degrees in 1971. After graduating he worked in the Los Angeles area until 1975 at which time he relocated to Orange County. He opened his current practice in Huntington Beach in 1977, and an additional office in Long Beach in 1983. Dr. Noda has specialized in general optometry and contact lenses for the past 31 years. He is certified by the Board of Optometry in the usage of therapeutic and diagnostic agents. Dr. Noda was one of the founding members of the American Asian Optometric Society. He has volunteered his time doing eye examinations on the children at the Door of Faith Orphanage in Mexico. Dr. Noda resides in Huntington Beach with his wife, Toni. They have 2 children, Darin and Ashleigh. In his spare time, Dr. Noda enjoys collecting antiques, traveling, art, and music. Helen Tran, O.D. Dr. Helen Tran graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology and a minor in Psychology. Afterward, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree at Marshall B. Ketchum University and achieved Magna Cum Laude. Her clinical externships were focused on primary eye care, treatment and management of ocular disease, and specialty fit contact lenses. Dr. Tran rotated through Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital, AZ, Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles, CA and Family Eye Care, CA. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, Dr. Tran volunteered her time at local vision screenings and health fairs. She also had the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Zihuatanejo to provide eye care to the underserved communities. Outside the practice, Dr. Tran is an avid snowboarder, a foodie enthusiast, and loves to work out to Yoga and indoor cycling. Dr. Tran continues to give back to the community and is a mentor for aspiring optometrists. |
